Most of us like our food to be wrapped in a delicious flat bread, in the form of a donner, gyros, wrap, tortilla or burrito. So many variations known in different parts of the world, and in fact the same delicious concept. We will present you a variation of a tortilla with vegetables and plant-based nuggets – a vegan dish that can beat the taste of any of its analogues prepared with meat.
Ingredients for 4 wraps:
1 packet of tortilla bread, ready for direct consumption
500 g fresh mix of green salads with radicchio, iceberg, arugula or lettuce
1 fresh tomato or 4 tbsp. tomato paste
1 red onion
4 medium-sized potatoes
1 pouch Vision Meat Nuggets – 220 g
Vision Meat plant-based mayonnaise
Vision Meat plant-based cheese
Salt, pepper, dried garlic and spices as desired
Method of preparation:
- Peel and cut the potatoes into strips, salt and put in an air-fryer to cook. If you do not have such an appliance, you can also cook them in a pan.
- Take out the Vision Meat Nuggets from the freezer and unpack. Pour some oil into a preheated pan and fry the bites until golden brown. The product does not require pre-defrosting. Leave shortly on a napkin to remove excess oil.
- Prepare 4 tortillas on flat plates. If desired, you can lightly brown them on a flat pan or plate.
- Mix the plant-based mayonnaise with the spices and stir well. Spread this sauce over the bread generously.
- Wash the lettuce and the rest of the salad and tear the larger leaves if necessary. Divide in equal portions over tortillas.
- Add 2 slices of tomato or one tablespoon of tomato paste over the salad.
- Caramelize one onion and divide again into 4.
- Cut the breaded bites into quarters and add to the tortilla filling.
- Finish with grated plant-based cheese.
- Wrap the tortillas into a roll and slightly fold one end so that they do not open.
- Garnish the tortillas with the ready-cooked potatoes.
